The United States spent $2.2 trillion on health care in 2007, more than any country in the world – yet the poor and many ethnic minorities still find basic health care out of their reach. With unemployment on the rise, those disparities are likely to get worse. This report offers a look at what can be done to bridge the health-care gap.
